Two persons were injured in hacking and stabbing incidents in Escalante City, Negros Occidental, Friday and Saturday, March 1 and 2.
A 37-year-old man was injured after he was stabbed by three unidentified men in Sitio Bug-as, Brgy. Balintawak, Escalante City, on Friday, the police reported.
Investigation revealed that in the middle of a drinking session with his friends at a videoke bar, the victim went outside and the suspects approached him.
One of the suspects punched him and another one stabbed him in his abdomen.
The suspects fled in an unknown direction while the victim was brought to the Vicente Gustilo District Hospital (VGDH) is Escalante.
Meanwhile, a 42-year-old farmer was hacked by a 25-year-old man in Sitio Tabunok, Brgy. Libertad, Escalante, on Saturday.
The suspect and his friend were talking in front of a store when the victim arrived, butted in, and suddenly punched him.
The suspect then ran towards his house and returned with a bolo that he used in hacking the victim on his neck and forearm.
The victim was brought to the VGDH and later transferred to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital in Bacolod City.*
