Two people were killed while 15 others were injured after the van they were riding on figured in an accident along the national highway of So. Dungon, Brgy. Talaban, Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental, Saturday night, April 23.
Killed were Himamaylan residents Edna Tupas, 61, of Brgy. 1, and Rose Baguios, 59, of Brgy 3, the police said.
The victims, along with the 15 passengers, were onboard an L100 van when its driver, 37-year-old Bernardino Baguios, lost control of the steering wheel causing the vehicle to swerve and turn turtle due to the impact.
The victims were immediately rushed to Governor Valeriano M. Gatuslao Memorial Hospital and the two women were declared dead on arrival.*
