
Two men died and four others were injured in motorcycle crashes in Murcia and Bago City, Negros Occidental, on Monday night, Dec. 1.
In Murcia, a 15-year-old boy died after the motorcycle he was riding on collided with another motorcycle along the national highway in Brgy. Salvacion at around 10:50 p.m.
The police said the Honda Wave driven by “Allen”, 19, attempted to overtake a truck and hit a Suzuki Raider driven by “Loreto” coming from the opposite direction.
Allen and alias “Loreto”, 24, were rushed to the hospital with injuries.
Allen’s 15-year-old back rider was declared dead on arrival at the Murcia Rural Health Unit.
Both drivers were later transferred to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Hospital for further treatment.
In Bago City, alias “Kristoper”, 48, died when his Rusi Surf motorcycle collided head-on with a Honda Wave along the national highway in Purok Timawa, Brgy. Ma-ao at around 8:05 p.m.
Kristoper’s 22-year-old back rider, “Paul”, and the Honda Wave driver, “Anthony”, were both injured and brought to the Bago City Hospital for treatment.
Police said all three motorcycles involved in the two incidents sustained heavy damage.*
