Isa ka virtual memorial service lakip na candle lighting ceremony sa Provincial Capitol Lagoon ang ginpatigayon angut sa 15th World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims.

Ang Probinsya sang Negros Occidental kag ang Negros Occidental PNP kag tiglawas sang Project CARES, Highway Patrol Group, Girl Scout of the Philippines ang nagpamuno sang programa kaina sang aga.

Suno sa gobernador, 2006 sang ginlunsar ang advocacy sa pungsod.

Pero, 15 ka tuig ang makaligad suno sa World Health Organization, padayon nga nagasaka ang road traffic deaths sa pungsod.

“For some of us here gathered today, this reality is more than just a statistical fact. Rather, we have been actual witnesses to the sudden and tragic loss of life on the roads. We suffered from the personal and painful experience of losing a loved one, a family or a friend, in a road accident”, suno sa mensahe ni Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson nga gin-deliver ni Provincial Administraror Rayfrando Diaz II.

Ang ini nga adlaw ang ginasaulog sa pagdumdom sa mga nadula bangud sang aksidente sa dalanon kag ang mga yadtong nakaluwas sini suno kay Lacson.
