A total of 118 farmer- members of the Tampalon Small Farmers Agrarian Reform Cooperative received a livelihood project from the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) on Friday, August 6.
The farmers group from Brgy. Tampalon, Kabankalan, is the beneficiary of the rubberized rice mill services, pre- and post-harvest facilities and a working carabao project.
DOLE allocated P1 million for the financial assistance to provide opportunity for self-employment and to address poverty.
City officials led by Mayor Pedro Zayco, Vice Raul Rivera and members of the City Council were present during the turnover ceremony.*
