Curfew hours will continue from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m., and persons below 15 years old and above 65 years old must continue to stay at home in Bacolod City this February.
This was stressed by Mayor Evelio Leonardia in Executive Order No. 02, Series of 2021 issued today, January 31, extending Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ) in Bacolod City until February 28.
President Rodrigo Duterte on Friday, January 29, approved the extension of MGCQ in Bacolod City and Negros Island for the entire month of February.
The EO said while curfew will remain from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. Exemptions will be made for workers on night shifts, media practitioners, public emergencies like fire, ambulance services, and other occasions caused by disasters, and those requiring medical assistance on board PUVs or private vehicles.
Curfew hours may be adjusted at any time within the duration of the MGCQ through the exercise by the mayor of the emergency powers granted by a city ordinance, the EO added.
LIQUOR BAN
The selling of liquor, wine, beer, or any alcoholic or intoxicating beverage will continue to be allowed only from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., and consumption of such can only to be done within private residences, the EO said.
HEALTH PROTOCOLS
The EO also said that for the period of the extended MGCQ, the proper wearing of face masks and face shields, hand sanitation practices, and social distancing in all public places and in public and private transport will continue to be strictly observed.
LARGE GATHERINGS
Mass gatherings such as but not limited to movie screenings, concerts, and other entertainment activities, religious services, and work conferences will continue to be allowed provided that participants should be limited to 50 percent of the seating or venue capacity, the EO said.
HOME QUARANTINE
The EO also said the following members of the vulnerable sector will still be required to remain in their residences at all times, except when indispensable under the circumstances for obtaining essential goods and services or for work in permitted industries and offices:
*Any person below 15 years old;
*Those who are over 65 years old;
*Those with immunodeficiency, comorbidity, or other health risks regardless of age;
- Pregnant women; and
- Any person who resides with all the aforementioned.*
