A Bacolodnon died in a road accident in Bacolod City, while two others were killed in Negros Occidental, the police reported on Sunday, January 29.
Brian Lorente Tahan, 40 of Purok Bayabasan, Brgy. Bata, Bacolod City, died at the entrance of the Valley of Peace at the Circumferential Road in Bacolod City at 7:10 p.m. Saturday, January 28, Police Station 3 reported.
Lorente lost control of his motorcycle and his head hit the concrete post of a streetlight causing his instantaneous death, it said.
In Calatrava, Anjohmary Elarcosa, 30, was found hacked to death in Sitio Dao, Brgy. Lemery, Calatrava, Negros Occidental.
He was found bathed in his own blood with hack wounds on his head, throat and left hand, the police said.
The alleged suspect is Aming Vaflor, 50, of Sitio Dao, Brgy, Lemery, Calatrava, Negros Occidental, the police said.
Meanwhile, farmer Susimo de Gracia Rabanes, 40, was shot to death in his house at So. Cabaog-Baogan, Barangay Prosperidad, San Carlos City, at 7 p.m. Friday, the police said.
The alleged suspect is Richard Remunda of the same sitio.
Arlene Rabanes, the victim’s wife, said he was sitting on a chair holding their child while waiting for dinner when she suddenly heard a gunshot.The victim shouted for help and she found that he had been shot on the left side of his chest that caused his untimely death, the police said.*
