A woman said to be suffering from mental illness hacked her sister dead and wounded her brother in Brgy. Tapi, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental, on Tuesday, November 2.
Killed was 72-year-old Elisa Tabujara, while injured was her brother, Herman Nabaja, 55.
Both victims were hacked by their sister, 58-year-old Estelita Lastimoso, who attacked them with a bolo “without any provocation,” a police report said Thursday, November 4.
Tabujara succumbed to injuries on her head, shoulder, and back, while Nabaja sustained injuries on his head and arm.
Their families brought them to the Kabankalan City District Hospital where Tabujara was declared dead on arrival.
The suspect has allegedly been suffering from a mental disorder for almost five years and is under medication, the police report said.
She was endorsed to the Kabankalan police.*
