A 29-year-old woman accused of masterminding the killing of her Army corporal husband and a CAFGU member in Sagay City was arrested in Mabinay, Negros Oriental, police said.

Sagay City police chief Lt. Col. Alvimar Flores identified the suspect only as “Bang-Bang,” who was arrested in Brgy. Bulwang, Mabinay, on Monday, Oct. 19.

Police said she is facing parricide and murder charges in connection with the May 12 shooting in Purok Kalubihan, Brgy. Maquiling, Sagay City.

The attack killed 48-year-old Army Cpl. Robert Dador, a member of the 79th Infantry Battalion and an assistant detachment commander, and CAFGU Active Auxiliary member Johnrey Moncatar.

Dador was a resident of Zarraga, Iloilo.

Flores said their investigation allegedly showed that “Bang-Bang” planned the killing of her husband and that one of the two alleged gunmen was reportedly having an affair with her.

That alleged gunman was arrested during a buy-bust operation in Mabinay on May 27 and is currently detained at the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology facility in the municipality, police said.

The third suspect, whom police described as the other gunman, remains unidentified and at large.

Flores said investigators linked the three suspects to the killings based on witness statements and evidence gathered during the investigation.

He said Sagay police now consider the case solved following the arrest of the woman and the earlier apprehension of one of the alleged gunmen.

“Bang-Bang” is currently detained at the Sagay City Police Station custodial facility pending further legal proceedings.

Police continue efforts to identify and locate the remaining suspect.*
