Jessie Ortega, secretary general of the Sentrong Samahan ng Tsuper at Operators – Negros, will be laid to rest at the San Diego Cemetery in Silay City, Negros Occidental, on Saturday, February 19.
Ortega, who had also served as secretary general of the United Negros Drivers and Operators Center, suffered from pneumonia and succumbed to sudden cardiac death on February 13, his son Allen said.
Ortega had turned 77 on February 12.
His wake is at the chapel at Doña Enrica Street in Brgy Zone 4A, Talisay City.
He will be buried after a funeral mass at the San Nicolas de Tolentino Church in Talisay City at 8 a.m. Saturday, his son said.*
