1,200-vehicle stationary caravan in Negros to welcome Leni, Kiko

Victorias City for Leni Robredo, Kiko Pangilinan streamers have been sprouting in Victorias City, Negros Occidental.*

A more than 1,200-vehicle pink stationary caravan will welcome 1Sambayan presidential candidate Leni Robredo as her convoy passes through the Bacolod-Silay Airport Access Road when she arrives Friday morning, November 5, for a two-day visit to Negros Occidental.

The vice president will be accompanied by her runningmate, Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan, and some of the senatorial bets on her slate.

Robredo is set to meet with leaders of a broad-based coalition of Negrenses, and call on Negros Occidental and Bacolod City officials on Friday.

Supporters clad in pink on board more than 1,200 vehicles will form the stationary caravan from the Bacolod-Silay Airport in Silay City up to the junction leading to The Ruins in Talisay City as Robredo’s convoy passes, Leni Laban Negros Occidental (LLNO) spokesperson Pinky Mirano-Ocampo said.

Robredo will then call on Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson at the Capitol, and Bishop Patricio Buzon at his residence in Bacolod City, Coscolluela said.

She will then proceed to a People’s Assembly and Consultation at the Acacia Hotel convention hall to be attended by representatives of the Negros for Leni Movement headed by former Negros Occidental governor Rafael Coscolluela, LLNO volunteers and sectoral leaders.

The crowd will be limited to 100 people to comply with COVID-19 minimum health protocols at the convention hall that can accommodate a maximum of 1,000 during normal times, Coscolluela said.

Robredo will deliver a speech and is expected to respond to a wide range of issues, including her position on vote-buying, territorial sovereignty, responsive good governance, the anti-corruption campaign, war against drugs and COVID-19 management, among others, he said.

She will be joined by by Pangilinan and senatorial candidates Alex Lacson and Teddy Baguilat and Rep. Erin Tañada, and will also hold a press conference.

Robredo will then proceed to the Bacolod City Government Center to meet with Mayor Evelio Leonardia, Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran and other city officials.

On Saturday, November 6, Robredo will visit members of the Murcia Women Association-LNK to discuss the implementation of AB Sustainable Livelihood Training Program in Murcia town, and join a LLNO Lugaw Party.

She will then attend the blessing and inauguration of the Leni-Kiko Negros Headquarters at Hernaez Street in Bacolod City.*
