Two most wanted persons in NegOcc nabbed

Two most wanted men in Negros Occidental were arrested by the joint police and military forces at Barangay Dancalan in Ilog town on Monday, November 9.

Nabbed were 26-year-old Vicente Lamintac, the Top No. 1 most wanted person in the province, and 34-year-old Junel Abendan, the Top No. 2 most wanted man, both residents of Barangay Libacao, Himamaylan City.

Permaran and Rivera were arrested by warrant of arrest for robbery with homicide, with no bail recommended, issued by Himamaylan Regional Trial Court Judge Walter Zorilla on March 4, 2020.

The arrested persons were brought to the Himamaylan police station.

Lt. Col. Erwin Cariño, commander of the Army’s 15th Infantry Battalion, said: “The successful operation resulted from the joint intel-driven operation and collaboration of all law enforcement agencies.”

“The 15IB, together with the other law enforcement counterparts, as the protector of the state, will remain vigilant to anyone who will destroy the peace and order of Negros.” he added.*
