The Talisay and Bacolod police are conducting a joint investigation into the killing of Bacoleña who was found dead in Talisay City, Negros Occidental, on Sunday, Jan. 12.
The two police stations are determining who were with Carl Kimberlyn Degabi, 31, a former call center agent, prior to her death, Capt. Judesses Catalogo, Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office spokesperson, told DIGICAST NEGROS on Tuesday, Jan. 14.
The police already have leads but can not name the persons of interest in the case yet, he said.
Catalogo said that the joint investigation aims to collect more evidence to hopefully shed light on the case.
The police are urging those who may have any information that can help solve the case to come forward.
They are still waiting for the autopsy results to determine the victim’s cause of death and if she was raped, Catologo said.*
