Silliman University graduate Kiarra Belle Poblador topped the November 2021 Nurse Licensure Examination, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced on Friday, December 10.

Poblador, who grew up in Bacolod City, scored a 89.40 passing rate.

She said in a Facebook post that she is truly grateful to all her mentors at Silliman University as “they have equipped us with the best resources to further our skills, knowledge, and attitude.”

She added, it wasn’t an easy four years of nursing school, but it was all worthwhile.

Fellow Sillimanian Esther Faith Padilla and Ia Hanna Samillano of Riverside College finished in the fourth spot. Both got a score of 87.80 percent.

Another Sillimanian on the list was Nicole Allyson Fry, who was in 8th place with a score of 87 percent.

They were among the 6,086 of 11,828 who passed the examination given by the Board of Nursing in Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Rosales, San Fernando, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga last month.

Pursuant to Section 16 of Republic Act No. 9173, “all successful candidates in the examination shall be required to take an oath of professional before the Board or any government official authorized to administer oaths prior to entering upon the nursing practice,” PRC said.

From January 10 to January 19 and January 21 to January 28, 2022, registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done online, it said.

Passers are advised to go to www.prc.gov.ph and follow instructions for initial registration.

Those who will register are required to bring the following: downloaded duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, a notice of admission (for identification only), two pieces of passport sized pictures (colored with white background and complete name tag), two sets of documentary stamps and one piece short brown envelope, PRC said.

It added that successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.*
