An Indian national was arrested and his companion was injured after they were caught allegedly robbing a gas station in Brgy. 1, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, early Friday morning, August 2.
Alias “Singh”, 35, and Aldren Mercado, 26, were apprehended by the police after they declared a hold-up at gunpoint at the cashier’s booth of the gas station.

Mercado sustained multiple lacerated wounds on the head and was brought to the San Carlos City Hospital, the police said.

San Carlos Deputy Police Chief, Capt. Honey Labaro, said that Mercado is now in stable condition and robbery charges are being readied against him and the Indian national.*
