Former Negros Occidental governor and Kabankalan City mayor Isidro Zayco and his niece, Anne Zayco, distributed Christmas gift packs and meals to about 108 households and 100 children during their “Love, Share, Donate” Program on Sunday, Dec. 17.

The distribution was held at Purok Amian, Brgy. Tampalon in Kabankalan City.

Anne Zayco said the program, which is supported by her uncle and father, former mayor Pedro Zayco, started after Typhoon Odette hit Kabankalan City in, December 2021.

The program became a donation drive for those in need of help who were affected by the typhoon, she said.

They want to institutionalize the program to help more people in the various barangays of Kabankalan, she added.

Anne Zayco also assured that the funds for the program come from private sector donations, without the help of government.

She thanked all those who helped in the drive by bringing goods, money, and other forms of assistance.

The program in Brgy. Tampalon is intended to give gifts, especially to the children, during the holiday season, she said.

Their group has also provided free coffee and pandesal to “Simbang Gabi” churchgoers in Kabankalan City, she said.
