About P1.3 million was stolen from the Rural Bank of Ilog in Barangay 1, Hinobaan town, Negros Occidental, early Thursday morning, November 11.
Maj. Clifford Batadhay, Hinobaan police chief, said they are looking at an inside job as there was no forcible entry at the bank.
He said the sliding window was opened, so the suspect was able to easily turn off the bank’s alarm system and its closed-circuit television.
The suspect knew the number combination of the vault, Batadhay said.
The police are still investigating the incident.*
