Guv joining Leni rallies in San Carlos, Bacolod

The rally of Leni Robredo in Bacolod City will be held at the Paglaum Stadium on March 11.*

Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson said on Friday, March 4, that he is joining the campaign rallies of Vice President Leni Robredo in San Carlos City and Bacolod City on March 11.

Lacson, who has declared his support for the presidential bid of Robredo, said her first stop for a rally during her visit to Negros Occidental will be in his hometown of San Carlos City.

She will also make stops in Sagay City where she will be joined by Mayor Alfredo Maraَñon III and Kabankalan City, added Lacson, who said he was is involved in organizing her visit.

Lacson and Vice Governor Jeffrey Ferrer called on Negrenses to show respect for visiting presidential candidates, even if they may be supporting other bets.

We should respect national candidates coming to Negros and refrain from hurling bad words against them, because Negrenses are peaceful and loving people, Ferrer said.

Lacson and Ferrer issued the call after presidential candidate Ferdinand Marcos Jr. was heckled during his recent visit to Negros by a small group of Robredo supporters.

Former governor Rafael Coscolluela, who heads the Robredo campaign in Negros apologized to Marcos for the behavior of the hecklers.*
