A construction worker died after he was stabbed inside his house at Purok Ice Plant, Brgy. Sibucao, San Enrique, Negros Occidental, Thursday, Oct. 17.
Fausto Leonidas, 45, died after he was allegedly stabbed by Anecito Claro, also a construction worker, the police said.
The police said Claro was shouting for Leonidas to bring out his son.
Leonidas invited the suspect inside his house to find out what he wanted and for no apparent reason Claro stabbed him, the police said.
The suspect fled after the incident while the victim was rushed to the La Carlota District Hospital where he was declared dead.
The police conducted a pursuit operation and arrested the suspect who is now under their custody.*
