Capitol expands NOCHP coverage for permanent, casual employees

Permanent and casual employees of the provincial government are now included in the Negros Occidental Comprehensive Health Program coverage for physical examinations, an executive order issued by Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson said.

In the past only contracts of service workers were included in the NOCHP coverage for their physical examination, Randy Peacita, president of the Progressive Alliance of Capitol Employees, said on Monday, Dec. 2.

However, in their meeting with Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz they agreed on a P5,000 NOCHP coverage that can be used not only for the annual physical examination but also for other health coverage, Peacita said.

Peacita said they are very grateful for the move that took effect on November 28.

Qualified dependents are spouses, children and legalized dependents 20 years old and below, and single and legitimate and illegitimate children with physical and mental disabilities.*
