The Cadiz City government recently boosted its barangay disaster/emergency response efforts by providing ambulances-cum-rescue vehicles to seven barangays.
The vehicles were given to barangays VF Gustilo, Celestino Villacin, Zone 1, Zone 2, Zone 3, Zone 4 and Zone 6, a press release from Cadiz City said.
They are the latest of the 22 villages in Cadiz to be equipped with disaster vehicles worth more than P6 million, the press release said.
Cadiz Mayor Salvador Esclante Jr. said these vehicles will spell a difference in disaster responses in the barangays of Cadiz.
“These vehicles will be a great reminder for Cadiz people that the city government is always with them in times of disaster or emergency cases,” he pointed out.
Cadiz’s mantra in terms of disaster response is “always one step ahead”, Escalante said.*
