Nine people were injured in a tricycle and motorcycle collision at the national highway of Purok Timawa, Brgy. Ma-ao, Bago City, Negros Occidental, Monday noon, Sept. 1.
The police identified the tricycle driver only as “Jaime,” 64, who was with four passengers, and the motorcycle driver as “Ferdie,” 25, who had three back riders.
Initial investigation showed that the tricycle was travelling from Bago City proper to Brgy. Ma-ao when the motorcycle, coming from the opposite direction, overlapped into the other lane and collided head-on with the tricycle.
Both drivers, along with their passengers, sustained injuries and were rushed by the Bago City Rescue team to the Bago City Hospital.
The damaged vehicles are now under the custody of the Bago City Police Station for proper disposition.*
