The Police Regional Office-6 cops seized about P72.8 million worth of suspected shabu and arrested 307 persons in their month-long anti-illegal drugs operations in August.
The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office operatives arrested 115 persons, followed by the Iloilo City Police Office with 54, Bacolod CPO – 42, Iloilo PPO – 42, Capiz PPO – 12, Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit – 11, and the Antique, Aklan, and Guimaras PPOs – 9 each.
The RPDEU-6 had the biggest drug haul at about P42.9M worth of illegal drugs followed by IPPO with P8.2M and BCPO with P8.1M
PRO-6 Director, Brig. Gen. Jack Wanky, commended the police operatives for their unwavering and successful campaign against illegal drugs.
The suspects were charged for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.*
