The validation for of the proposed infrastructure projects for the Kanlaon Recovery and Development Plan will begin in October.
Office of the Civil Defense Negros Island Region Director, Donato Sermeno III, said on Tuesday, Sept. 23, that representatives of the National TF Kanlaon from Manila and TF Kanlaon NIR will conduct the validation.
The proposed infrastructure projects include bridges and roads, such as the Moises Padilla bridge that will serve as an alternative escape route in case of disaster, he said.
The other local government units that have proposed infrastructure projects are La Castellana, Bago City, Canlaon City, Murcia and San Carlos City, Sermeno said.
Validation is scheduled for mid-October.
“Mid-October because they will arrive here for one week. Maybe we can divide into three groups to be faster, with the validation, like a two-day workshop to complete the documents needed,” Sermeno said.*
