A tricycle driver was injured in a collision involving three vehicles at the national road in Brgy. Tabun-ac, Toboso, Negros Occidental, on Thursday afternoon, March 19.
Police said the crash involved a tricycle driven by alias “Rome,” 36, a self-loader Isuzu truck driven by alias “Jorge,” 33, and an Isuzu D-Max driven by alias “Ian.”
Initial investigation showed the truck was traveling from Bacolod City to San Carlos City carrying solar panels when the tricycle coming from the opposite direction suddenly swerved and collided with it.
Authorities said the impact caused the tricycle’s sidecar to detach and hit the D-Max that was following behind, resulting in minor damage.
The tricycle driver sustained multiple injuries and was brought to Vicente Gustilo District Hospital in Escalante City.
Police said the truck driver and the vehicles involved are now in their custody.*
