TP contributes over 1,000 volunteer hours to nationwide Brigada Eskwela

TP, a global leader in digital business services, successfully capped its participation in the 2025 Brigada Eskwela Program, contributing a total of 1,080 volunteer hours from 216 employees across nine sites nationwide.

Through its corporate social responsibility arm, Citizen of the World (COTW), TP in the Philippines has consistently supported Brigada Eskwela, demonstrating the organization’s continued commitment to improving school facilities and resources, as well as promoting volunteerism and community engagement, a press release from the firm said.

This initiative directly supports the Department of Education’s (DepEd) literacy campaign, themed “Brigada Eskwela: Sama-sama Para sa Bayang Bumabasa.”

The 216 volunteers from nine TP sites headed to their adopted schools and rolled up their sleeves to participate in TP Dreambuilder, the company’s support for the 2025 Brigada Eskwela. The volunteers conducted clean-up and repainting activities, minor to medium repairs, and maintenance work in classrooms and on school grounds.

Employees collectively expressed their “love language” through voluntary services in nine schools, namely: Brookspoint Elementary School in Baguio City, Benguet; Leoncia Village Integrated School in Angeles City, Pampanga; Bambang Elementary School in Pasig City, Metro Manila; Molino Elementary School in Bacoor City, Cavite; Sum-Ag Elementary School in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental; Iba Elementary School in Talisay City, Cebu; Pagalungan National High School in Cagayan de Oro City, Misamis Oriental; Bunawan Aplaya Elementary School in Davao City, Davao del Sur; and Jose Divinagracia, Sr. Elementary School in General Santos City, South Cotabato

Marick Miraflor, TP in the Philippines Vice President for Operations, who has led Brigada Eskwela initiatives since 2013, shared her personal connection to the work: “While the project looks like work, it’s actually very fun and rewarding. Today’s extra special because I get to bring my 11-year-old son to volunteer for the first time. It’s rewarding because we get an opportunity to pay it forward.”

“This volunteer work, which is part of TP’s sustained support for education, connects directly to our values. Under COTW program, TP has consistently engaged in projects and initiatives that support child rights in the Philippines. We do this as part of our commitment to nurturing young minds and defending every child’s right to learn and dream,” added Jeffrey Johnson, TP in the Philippines Chief People Officer and COTW President.*PR
