Three from Negros Island KSSLAP awardees for Visayas

Three from Negros Island were among the 2nd Batch of Kaisa Sa Sining-Lunsay na Artistang Pilipino (KSSLAP) Awardees for Visayas at rites held at the Luce Auditorium of Silliman University in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental, on Thursday, Dec. 14.

The awardees from Negros Island were Rodolfo Reveche of Bacolod City for Cultural Work, Mariant Escaño-Villegas of Dumaguete for Dance, and Kitty Taniguchi of Dumaguete for Visual Arts.

The other awardees were Alma Taldo of Bohol for Music, Edgar Ramirez of Iloilo for Cultural Research, Vicente Villan of Capiz for Cultural Research, Marianito Luspo of Bohol for Cultural Work and Ramon Gullas (posthumous) of Cebu for Music and Cultural Work.

The KSSLAP is under the Cultural Center of the Philippines Kaisa Sa Sining- Regional Partners Program of the CCP Cultural and Exchange Division.

Performers during the awarding ceremonies were the Loboc Children Choir, Silliman University Dance Troupe, Kagayon Dance Troupe of Colegio San Agustin-Bacolod, Silliman University Orchestra and RJG Dou.*
