Police arrested six suspects and seized an estimated P952,000 worth of suspected shabu during a buy-bust operation in Hacienda Bato, Brgy. Nanca, EB Magalona, Negros Occidental, on Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 14.
Records showed that the police arrested alias “Runi”, 43, alias “Jino”, 25, alias “July”, 33, alias “Will”, 36, alias “JP”, 22, and a 17-year-old man, while alias “Mike”, remained at large.
The EB Magalona Municipal Police Station said the operation was conducted at around 5:27 p.m. by its Station Drug Enforcement Team.
Police said around 140 grams of suspected shabu were confiscated after the suspects allegedly handed a sachet of the drug to a police poseur-buyer in exchange for buy-bust money.
The suspects were identified as residents of EB Magalona, Silay City, and Victorias City.
Police said cases for violations of Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being prepared against the suspects who remain under police custody.*
