‘Silent Sanctuary’ to open MassKara, more artists, stars to be revealed

The countdown is on as MassKara Festival 2025 prepares to make history on October 1 with its first-ever dual stage opening at two iconic venues: the Bacolod City Government Center (BCGC) grounds and the Bacolod Public Plaza.

Festival organizers confirmed that OPM sensation “Silent Sanctuary” will headline at the BCGC stage, treating festival-goers to their signature mix of heartfelt anthems and string-driven rock, a press release from Gugma Foundation Inc. said.

But the excitement doesn’t end there. With the Plaza stage also set to roar to life, organizers are keeping everyone guessing: who will headline at the Plaza?, the press said.

Festival Director Rodney Mitz Ascalon said the dual venues reflect the growing spirit of MassKara as a people’s festival.

“We are bringing MassKara closer to the people. By opening both the Government Center and the Plaza, we make sure that everyone can take part in the grand celebration,” Ascalon said.

And there’s more — additional artists and stars headlining the grand opening will be revealed over the weekend, keeping fans on the lookout for the next big announcement, the press release said.

The October 1 dual-venue opening will mark the start of 19-day calendar of concerts, competitions, cultural events, and the world-famous MassKara Street and Arena Dance Showdown.*
