
The Silay City Police Station is strictly enforcing a 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. curfew for minors.
The curfew enforcement was stepped up after a group of minors killed a school watchman at Brgy Rizal, Silay City, earlier this week.
Abner Lanosnia, 49, a watchman at a public high school, died after he was stabbed by three minors at about 2:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 13.
Two minors were apprehended while one was still at large.
The implementation of the curfew for minors is led by the police station’s Women and Children Protection Desk personnel.
The police warned six minors from barangays 4 and 5, Silay City, who were seen outside their homes at about 10 p.m. on Wednesday that they were violating the curfew and must go home, to prevent any untoward incidents.*
