Shooting of modern jeep driver causes collision with SUV: PNP

A driver was shot resulting in the collision of the modern jeepney he was driving and an SUV at Palanca Road in the Reclamation Area, Bacolod City, Saturday evening, June 24.

Noel Morales, the modern jeepney driver, was shot by a still unidentified person.

PCapt. Paul Vincent Pendon, Police Station 2 chief, told DIGICAST NEGROS that the victim, who was hit by a bullet beneath his left eye and on his right ear, is now in stable condition, and an investigation is ongoing to identify the suspect.

On Monday, the bullet will be extracted from the modern jeepney and will be turned over to the crime laboratory for ballistics investigation, he said.*
