The police seized 2,015.25 grams of suspected shabu worth P13,703,000 in a buy bust operation at Hda. Sta. Ana, Brgy Palampas, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, at 2:57 p.m. Wednesday, August 30.
Nabbed were John Valentin Derla Remegio, 34 , of Brgy Caingin, Lapaz, Iloilo, and Crismark Cantuba Blancaflor, 27, of Brgy Poblacion, Bingawan, Iloilo, the police said.
The two suspects were being monitored by the police since last week, PLt. Col. Jesus Mesahon, San Carlos police chief, said.
The police seized the suspected shabu, P10,000 used as buy bust money, and a Chevrolet car used by the suspects.
PCol. Leo Pamittan, Negros Occidental police provincial director, commended the operating troops for the successful intelligence-driven operation.
“We continue to apprehend drug suspects and recover large volumes of drugs as proof of our relentless campaign to eradicate drugs in our community”, Pamittan said.*
