Police nab 5 in 2 cities, seize P782K in shabu

The police arrested five persons and seized suspected shabu worth P782,000 in the cities of Bago and Victorias, Negros Occidental, on Sunday, Jan. 12.

Alias “Bert”, 38, a mechanic and resident of Purok Bungyod, Brgy. 3, Himamaylan City, was arrested at about 5:10 p.m. during a vehicular accident, the police said.

The traffic investigator conducting the investigation saw the suspected shabu allegedly owned by the suspect scattered on the ground.

Recovered were 70 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street drug price of P476,000, the police said.

Also confiscated were a broken improvised tooter, phone, motorcycle, and cash.

Meanwhile, four persons were arrested in a buy-bust operation in Kalantiao Street, Brgy. 6, Victorias City. at about 6:10 p.m. Sunday.

Arrested were alias “Mico”, 44, “Kim”, 43, “Nik-Nik”, 36, all residents of the Brgy. 6, and alias “Lex”, 40, of Brgy. 3 in Victorias City, the police said.

The police recovered from them suspected shabu weighing 45 grams with an estimated street drug price of P306,000.

All suspects are now in police custody and will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.*
