The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office topped other police offices in Western Visayas in the number of wanted persons arrested during their weeklong manhunt operations, the Police Regional Office- 6 reported Thursday, June 20.
PRO-6 reported that 204 wanted persons were arrested during their manhunt operations from June 10 to 16, with 47 tagged as most wanted persons, and 157 as other wanted persons.
NOCCPO operatives arrested 71, with 13 most wanted persons and 58 other wanted persons.
Of the 47 most wanted persons, 16 were apprehended in Iloilo, four – Aklan, three each in Antique, Capiz and Guimaras, two each in Bacolod City and Iloilo City, and one was arrested by the Regional Mobile Force Battalion.
The 157 arrested other wanted persons came from Iloilo Province – 38, Aklan – 17, Antique and Bacolod City – 10 each, Guimaras and RMFB – 7 each, Capiz – 6, and Iloilo City – 4.
PRO-6 Chief, BGen. Jack Wanky said that this is their commitment to account for all the wanted persons in the region.
“The relentless efforts of our personnel on the ground will ensure that those remaining wanted persons will be surely apprehended and be made duly accountable for their illegal actions”, he said.*
