Nakasaad nga ang Negros Island Region ang paga tapuan sang Negros Oriental, Occidental, Bacolod City kag Siquijor. Mga tiglawas naman gikan sa Office of the President, Department of Budget and Management, Department of the Interior and Local Government, mga Office of the Governor sang Oriental, Occidental kag Siquijior, Bacolod city kag ang tanan nga elected members sang House of Representatives ang mga porma sang technical working group.
Ang TWG naman ang maga dihon sang roadmap para mapahamtang ang mga institutional arrangements para sa NIR. Nalakip man diri ang pag recommend sa Office of the President sang preferred regional center, pag arrange sang requirement para sa organizational development staffing kag budgeting para sa regional line kag regulatory agencies kasubong man ang mga kinahanglanon nga ipatuman para sa development planning and investment programming.
