The Police Regional Office–Negros Island Region reported the arrest of 2,077 drug personalities and the seizure of more than ₱286.7 million worth of illegal drugs from March 28 to Dec. 31, 2025.
PRO-NIR on Wednesday, Jan. 7, reported that 1,717 anti-illegal drug operations were conducted during the period across the Negros Island Region.
Police said 41,979.36 grams of suspected shabu valued at P285,459,866.96 and 10,535.53 grams of marijuana worth P1,264,463.48 were confiscated.
The Bacolod City Police Office recorded 444 operations that led to the arrest of 586 drug personalities and the seizure of 18,783.07 grams of shabu worth P127,724,905.24.
BCPO also confiscated 10,207.41 grams of marijuana valued at P1,224,888.84, police said.
The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office conducted 864 operations, resulting in the arrest of 1,059 suspects and the seizure of 4,375.91 grams of shabu worth P29,756,181.88.
NOCPPO also recovered 306.22 grams of marijuana valued at P36,746.64, according to police.
The Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office carried out 385 operations, arresting 406 drug personalities and seizing 18,813.78 grams of shabu worth P127,933,702.64.
NOrPPO also confiscated 21.9 grams of marijuana valued at P2,828, the report said.
The Siquijor Police Provincial Office recorded 24 operations, leading to the arrest of 26 suspects and the seizure of 6.6 grams of shabu worth P45,077.20.
PRO-NIR said the figures reflect intelligence-driven operations, coordination with local government units, and community support.
Regional Director BGen. Arnold Thomas Ibay commended police units for their role in the anti-illegal drug campaign.
He said they will continue intensified intelligence-led operations, strengthen case build-up, and sustain community-based drug-clearing efforts across all cities and municipalities in the region.*
