The average residential rate of Negros Electric and Power Corp for December is now ₱12.0441 / kWh.
This reflects a decrease of ₱0.1881 / kWh from last month’s rate of ₱12.2322 / kWh, Negros Power announced Monday, Dec. 15.
The Wholesale Electricity Spot Market (WESM) rates dropped from ₱7.6709/kWh to ₱6.0475/kWh, it said.
The lower demand following recent typhoons across the Visayas also led to a ₱0.4339/kWh decrease in overall generation charges, Negros Power also said.
However, Ancillary Service Charges increased by around ₱0.1932/kWh for residential consumers, it added.*
