A 15-year-old boy died while another minor was injured after they were stabbed in Cauayan, Negros Occidental, on Sunday night, April 12.
Police said the incident happened in Barangay Guljungan.
The victims, aged 15 and 16, were walking home with friends when they were allegedly followed by an unidentified suspect.
Investigation showed the suspect suddenly attacked and stabbed the victims without apparent provocation.
The 16-year-old sustained a stab wound on the back and is currently under medical treatment.
The 15-year-old suffered a stab wound on the shoulder and later died at a hospital.
Authorities said the suspect fled after the incident.
The police are conducting follow-up investigation to identify and arrest the suspect.*
