Mayor Greg Gasataya presided over the final coordination meeting Monday, October 26, to put in place preparations for a safe and orderly Undas 2026 in Bacolod City.
The meeting brought together city department heads, national government agencies, private cemetery administrators, and barangay officials from Granada and Handumanan to coordinate measures for public safety, traffic management, security, and emergency response, a press release from the Bacolod City Communications Office said.
The City Government, in coordination with concerned agencies, is preparing for the expected influx of cemetery visitors. Cemetery visiting hours will be from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. from October 30 to November 2.
Liquor and gambling will be prohibited, while traffic rerouting and road closures will be implemented in designated areas to ensure the smooth flow of vehicles and pedestrians.
The public is reminded to follow cemetery rules, observe traffic advisories, and cooperate with authorities and personnel on the ground to help ensure a safe and peaceful Undas observance.
The press release said for emergencies the public can call 911 and for other concerns the Bacolod City Government at (034) 479-6100*
