The ninth most wanted person in the province was arrested for alleged rape in Brgy. Zone 12-A, Talisay City, Negros Occidental, on Friday, January 12.
Joeven Belbes, 26, a construction worker from Purok Tahong, Brgy. Zone 3, Talisay City, was arrested for two counts of rape by sexual intercourse, the police reported Monday.
He was the ninth most wanted person in Negros Occidental, the police said.
The warrant for his arrest was issued by Judge Maria Lina Gonzaga of the Regional Trial Court Branch 42 in Bacolod City on January 4.
For his first offense the judge recommended no bail, and for the second offense bail set at P200,000.
Belbes is now detained at the Talisay Police Station.*
