A 37-year-old driver was found dead at Sitio Balud, Brgy. Tamlang, Escalante City, Monday morning, Sept. 1.
The police said a concerned resident discovered the victim lying on the road beside a sugarcane farm while tending to his carabao. When the man failed to respond, the resident sought help from nearby residents and alerted authorities.
The victim’s mother told investigators that her son had been drinking liquor since Aug. 30 and had complained of chest pains before his death.
Police said there were no signs of foul play or visible injuries, and the family is convinced it was a natural death.
The victim’s body was brought to Konomia Funeral Homes in Escalante City.*
