The Land Transportation Office–Negros Island Region recorded 24 traffic violations during a focused enforcement operation conducted across Siquijor province.
The LTO-NIR on Saturday, May 9, said 11 personnel were deployed along the Siquijor Circumferential Road covering the towns of Lazi and Larena to enforce road safety and transport regulations under Republic Act 4136 or the Land Transportation and Traffic Code.
Authorities reported six apprehensions involving unregistered motorcycles, six cases of reckless driving involving motorcycles, and five motorcycle drivers found operating without licenses.
The operation also recorded seven motorcycles without side mirrors, while seven motorcycles were impounded.
One colorum van was also apprehended during the operation.
LTO-NIR said 12 Traffic Offense Receipts were issued during the enforcement activity.*
