Lacson to deliver speech at SP inaugural session

Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson is set to deliver his address at the 37th inaugural session of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) at the Capitol in Bacolod City, 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 8.

Lacson said his speech will be shorter than in previous years. A portion of his address will outline the direction he intends to take for his third and final term as governor.

The Sangguniang Panlalawigan is headed by Vice Governor Jose Benito Alonso.

The board members of the 37th Sangguniang Panlalawigan include:
• 1st District: Marxlen dela Cruz and Araceli Somosa
• 2nd District: Arthur Christopher “Atoy” Marañon and Sixto “Pal” Guanzon
• 3rd District: Andrew Montelibano and Bambi Depasucat
• 4th District: Paula Alonso and Nicholas Yulo
• 5th District: Hadji Trojillo and Rita Gatuslao
• 6th District: Ralph Alvarez and Jeffrey Tubola

The provincial board includes three sectoral representatives: Julius Martin Asistio (Philippine Councilor’s League), Richard Julius Sablan (Association of Barangay Captains), and Mayvelyn L. Madrid (Sangguniang Kabataan).*
