Ko opens Abang Lingkod office in Bacolod

The Abang Lingkod Partylist office of Rep. Manuel Federick “Manman” Ko at BS Aquino Drive in Bacolod City was inaugurated on Saturday, October 18.

Ko was joined by his wife, Johnna, and numerous Abang Lingkod guests and supporters for the blessing, which was officiated by Fr. Aniceto “Mao” Buenafe.

The office will serve those in need of help to avail of government programs implemented by agencies such as the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and the Department of Health (DOH), Ko said.

Ko also highlighted his legislative agenda, noting that he has already filed several significant bills in Congress.

Among these is an act to promote the welfare of barangay officials by standardizing their salaries, enhancing their benefits, and providing social protection.

He has also filed measures to strengthen support for cancer victims and to provide full PhilHealth coverage for dialysis patients.

Ko added that he is also considering filing a bill to seek the establishment of fishermen’s villages.*
