A suspect listed under the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency’s “Isumbong Mo sa PDEA” program was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Salvacion, Murcia, on Monday afternoon, November 17.
The suspect, identified only as “Riche,” a 48-year-old tricycle driver and resident of Barangay Salvacion, was taken into custody after allegedly selling illegal drugs to an undercover agent.
The PDEA Regional Office NIR–Regional Special Enforcement Team, together with the PDEA Seaport Interdiction Unit, SOU-NIR PNP Drug Enforcement Group, and the Murcia Municipal Police Station, conducted the operation.
Authorities confiscated 12 sachets of suspected shabu weighing about 21 grams, along with the buy-bust money and a coin purse.
The suspect will face charges for violating the Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.*
