Police flagged down a vehicle tagged in a “hit-and-run” incident at the Maayo Shipping Port in Brgy. Poblacion, Sibulan, Negros Oriental, Sunday morning, September 28.
The operation stemmed from a radio message received at around 6:20 a.m. via Zello App directing Code 7 procedures in response to an Alarm 10-57 incident in Zamboanguita, Negros Oriental.
A PNP Alarm 10-57 refers to a “hit-and-run” accident, a police radio code used to report traffic incidents where a vehicle leaves the scene without providing information or assistance.
A duty mobile patroller team responded to the order.
At about 7:40 a.m., police intercepted the vehicle as it was about to board a vessel at the port.
The driver and vehicle were later brought to the Sibulan Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.*
