Hinoba-an in southern Negros Occidental is enforcing the executive order of Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson requiring incoming passengers from Negros Oriental to have negative RT-PCR test results for COVID-19, Mayor Ernesto Estrao said Tuesday, March 16.

Passengers passing through the Barangay Sangke, Hinoba-an, border with Negros Oriental must have negative RT-PCR test results valid 72 hours from the date of swab sample extraction, an S-PASS, and proof that they are registered with StaySafe.ph, he said.

These are requirements set in the governor’s Executive Order No. 21-18, Series of 2021 on the implementation of uniform travel protocols that they have to comply with, Estrao said.

However, exemptions are made for residents of neighboring Basay town in Negros Oriental, he said.

Estrao said Hinoba-an has opened its Barangay Talacagay border with Sipalay City to all incoming passengers from the rest of Negros Occidental. *
