The new World Boxing Association Asia South bantamweight title holder “King” Arthur Villanueva is from Bago City, Mayor Nicholas Yulo said Monday, June 13.
Yulo, who congratulated Villanueva on his victory, said he will be given a hero’s welcome on his return to Bago City.
Villanueva, 33, who is from Barangay Jorge L. Araneta in Bago City, defeated Jakpan Sangtong of Thailand in the 10th round for the title in Pakistan on June 11.
