A new service provider is set to take over the dialysis center at the Don Salvador Benedicto Memorial District Hospital in La Carlota City, with operations expected to resume in about two weeks, Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson said on Monday, July 7.
The center temporarily closed last week after the previous service provider, Nephroprime Corporation, ceased operations.
Lacson said that the provincial government is currently installing a new filtration system at the dialysis center, a process estimated to take at least two weeks to complete.
Meanwhile, the provincial government is prepared to assist La Carlota dialysis patients by bringing them to dialysis centers at the provincial government hospitals in Silay and Cadiz, he said.*
