A grenade discovered at a riverbank in Cadiz City was safely disposed of by authorities on Monday, March 30.
The police said the explosive was found by a resident near the Nabinay River in Barangay Mabini early Monday morning.
The incident was immediately reported to authorities, prompting the Cadiz police to secure the area.
An Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team later conducted a controlled detonation of the grenade.
No injuries or damages were reported.
